So... I decided against Sweden in the end, as the 'friendship' was taking a non-desirable direction. God gives man blue eyes, and blue eyes cause problems in certain respects: blue eyes want to be free to look at other eyes, and some eyes want to keep looking at blue eyes. Mr. Blue eyes looks away and bolts to Denmark.
Anyway, going to Denmark now to be with my flatmate Michael's family. Should be interesting as the whole family will be speaking Danish, with a few of them speaking English (so to not leave me feeling totally left out).
It'll be good to have a few days away from Berlin just as a new experience, but we will be out in the countryside. Perhaps a few days in Aarhus, the second largest town. And of course, Micha's family is undoubtedly great, so it will be nice to meet more of them. I'm a lucky person to have such wonderful friends who take in wayward foreigners at an often lonely time of the year. Phew!
